You enter an atrium and encounter the remnants of an old service station. In reality you've entered a bookstore along with a coffee/wine shop.
Such places of enchantment really exist in the mountains of western North Carolina! Our local and regional section with maps, guidebooks, hiking,
nature and regional history and literature, greets the "out-of-towners" exploring or relocating to our area. Additionally, we can help
you find the perfect souvenir or gift for any occasion.
Nantahala Country Workshop
Here you will find "rustic and farm house" reproductions, as well as a nice selection of rockers and Windsor
chairs, Shaker cabinets and hutches, stools, benches, wooden bowls and many other items.

You're welcome to explore our beautiful campus during daylight hours in a free and self-directed tour. On most weekdays and several weekends
year-round, people like you are learning craft, art, music, dance, cooking, gardening, nature studies, photography, and writing in small classes
scattered across campus.
Cherohala Skyway
Winding up and over 6,000 foot mountains for 15 miles in North Carolina and descending another 21 miles into the deeply forested backcountry of
Tennessee. The road crosses through the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests thus the name "Chero...hala". The Skyway is well known
for its natural beauty and scenic vistas.
Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest
A walk through Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest is a journey back in time through a magnificent forest with towering trees as old as 400 years. Some
enormous yellow-poplars are over 20 feet in circumference and stand 100 feet tall. The floor is carpeted with a garden of wildflowers, ferns, and
moss-covered logs from fallen giants.
Junaluska Memorial and Museum
Located at the burial site of Cherokee Warrior Junaluska, the memorial and museum are dedicated to preserving
Cherokee history and culture. Displays include: arrowheads, spearpoints and other artifacts found here in the Cheoah Valley, artwork and crafts
by Snowbird Indian community members, and information about this valley and its people.
Museum of the Cherokee
"To preserve and perpetuate the history, culture, and stories of the Cherokee." Located on tribal land in the Great Smoky Mountains,
this non-profit organization tells the story of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, whose ancestors lived in these mountains for more than ten
thousand years.

We were established in January 2007 with the vision of producing quality alpacas for sale and breeding. We decided, after
researching the Alpaca Lifestyle, that we wanted to live that lifestyle less stressful living at our mountain home in Topton, North Carolina.
